Brandied Strawberries

 

1 punnet strawberries, washed and hulled

1 cup sugar

1 cup brandy

 

Combine ingredients in a large screw-top jar.  Stir well to dissolve sugar.  Cover and refrigerate for two weeks.

 

Continue to add 1 cup strawberries and 1 cup sugar (but no more brandy) periodically.  Stir well each time. Serve over ice cream and fresh strawberries
