Simple Mandarin and Berry Crumble

4 local mandarins, peeled and segmented

1 cup fresh local strawberries or frozen blueberries or raspberries

1/2 cup water

1/4 cup sugar

1 tblspn honey or maple syrup

1 cup natural muesli or a combination of rolled oats,

 

Preheat oven to 200C. Place the water and sugar in a medium saucepan over low heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Add the mandarin and fresh or frozen berries. Gently stir mixture until fruit is heated through. Spoon the mixture among four 125ml (1/2 cup) capacity ramekins or a two-cup ovenproof dish. Place dishes on a baking tray. Combine the muesli and honey or maple syrup in a bowl. Sprinkle the fruit mixture with the muesli. Bake in your pre-heated oven for 10-15 minutes or until the muesli is toasted.
