Tasty Beef and Mushroom Salad

Preparation:     30 minutes

Cooking:   15 minutes

Serves 4

1/4 cup teriyaki sauce

4 beef steaks

1 tblspn oil

2 cloves garlic, crushed

4 field mushrooms, sliced

2 cups loose lettuce leaves

3 spring onions, sliced

Gourmet potatoes, to serve

1 carrot, grated for garnish

 

 

Place teriyaki sauce into a shallow marinating dish and add steaks. Turn to coat

well with sauce. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Heat oil in a non-stick pan.

Fry steak for 4-5 minutes each side depending on thickness. Remove from pan and allow to rest for 5-10 minutes. Fry garlic and mushrooms together for 3 minutes. Remove from heat. Slice steak thinly and add to mushrooms. Arrange lettuce and sliced spring onions onto serving plates. Top with steak and mushroom mixture. Serve with steamed gourmet potatoes and garnish with grated carrot.
